Lubbock Karting Association, located just west of Lubbock, Texas, near Reese Center, is a place for family, friends and fun. If you like speed and the thrill of racing, come and join us. We are a club owned non-profit organization dedicated to helping others in karting and safely promoting the sport of kart racing. We also hold a benefit race every December for charity and a portion of the money raised goes to Goodfellows and Toys for Tots.
Any other charities are welcome to come talk to us about your need. We have fund raising opportunities for you. Simply send us an email here: http://www.lubbockkarting.com/cont_form.html
We are not affiliated with any one sanctioning body, however our rules are built around many of the top ones and are consistent with just about every one. We also promote Burris brand products as they continue to be one of our best partners. All race cars with only a few exceptions will run Burris tires to compete with us and we also DO NOT accept or allow any tire "doping". You must run the tire compounds we allow at each track. See rules for more.

LKA offers two different kinds of membership:
- FULL membership gives you voting rights at the member meetings, a key to Sleepy Hollow track (that can be used on non-race days all year long), and eligibility for championship points at both tracks. If you are new to the sport, it is a great offer so you can practice on your own terms. Again, it is for the asphalt track ONLY. There is NO practicing on non race days on the dirt track for any reason without authorization from the race director.
-Speedway Club membership is available only to County Line (dirt) racers and it provides you with an opportunity to race for championship points if you aren't a FULL member. You pay $50 the day you sign up and it is NOT retroactive. You start receiving championship points only after the due is paid during registration on the event day. This is only payable at the registration booth on race days. The fee is on top of our normal race fees and pit passes for that race day. You also will pay $10 less per kart for registration versus a non Speedway Club member and your immediate family is covered with one fee.
Both kinds of members are allowed to attend the end of year banquet and are eligible to receive awards. Only FULL members and "Speedway Club" members will receive awards.
To join LKA as a full member, you MUST print the membership application , fill it out, and either mail it to our PO Box or give it to an OFFICER LISTED ABOVE. Please pay with check, money order or cashiers check as we do not accept debit or credit cards. After application is received it will be presented to the board at the next scheduled meeting. A board member will contact you to let you know if your application is accepted or denyed usually less than a week after the meeting. You must be in good standing to be approved and LKA does not have to provide a reason for denial if so happens. If payment was received by LKA and the application is "denyed", the applicant will receive their payment back in full. Payment will most likely be mailed back unless other arrangements are made.
